STORE serves talented students interested in making retailing and related disciplines their career by offering them educational programs, opportunities to network with top retail executives and by providing students with an in-depth knowledge of retail and the retailing industry. STORE membership consists of three levels with a completion capstone class.

As level three members of STORE, students earn the privilege to attend the Student Program in Philadelphia, PA, October 5-7, 2015. Focused on digital retail, featured speakers will include Mike George, CEO & President of QVC, Billy May, SVP, Digital, eCommerce & Corporate for Abercrombie and Fitch, and Jeremy Liebowitz, VP of Global eCommerce with Newell Rubbermaid.  Five students from the Walton College have earned sponsorships to attend the program in 2015.

NRF Big Show 2015

The Center for Retailing Excellence sponsored five students to the NRF Big Show in New York City January 9-12. Cole Dodson, Yuan Liang, Brianna Maldonado, Alyssa Mueller, and Liz Tanner earned the privilege of representing the University of Arkansas, Sam M. Walton College of Business at the annual event. Students attended presentations which featured Tim Belk, Chairman and CEO of Belk, Inc.; Karen Katz, President and CEO, The Nieman Marcus Group, Inc.; and Jane Park, Founder and CEO of Julep Beauty, Inc. providing career advice from the C-suite. Kip Tindell, Chairman and CEO, The Container Store, closed the Student Program with thoughts on the importance of leading your professional and personal life with purpose, passion and a commitment to "what you stand for". Additionally students participated in professional development sessions which focused on personal brand, financial literacy, and interview techniques.  Students were provided a tour of HP Offices in New York thanks to the sponsorship of Joe Mueller, executive board representative from HP.
